So, no Idol Chatter this week.. wasn’t near the laptop or desktop to watch it. So no blogging during it. Same with Dancing with the Stars results. I don’t feel like watching them again to do the blogging now. I’m tired still, and sore as hell. My arm has a nasty red mark from the cunt (and I don’t use that term lightly, at all) who drew my blood. Now, I’ve been getting blood drawn since November, every 4-6 weeks, so this isn’t a first time. I’ve never had a real major problem either. They’ve always found the veins easily, never had to redo it. Nothing like that. First thing this woman did was tie the band too low on my arm, and not even flat, it was twisted. It was half an inch, max, above my elbow and it *rolled* down my arm. Then she prodded my arm with her fingers to find a vein, which was fine. Hurt a bit, but not bad. She sticks the needle in and starts twisting it around. It felt like she was mining for gold. I mention that it hurt, and it did, quite badly, and she mumbles a half apology, but finally stops rooting around. She then *twists* my arm around, which with a needle stuck in it, that you are holding steady.. yeah ow. I didn’t bitch, I just growled. Then, she unties the rubber band around my arm and it too hits the needle. Another nice painful moment. Not impressed at this point. She finally gets done and pulls it out and says “ut oh.” Mind you, I’m looking at the opposite wall, reading signs and crap because I don’t like needles, or blood. She puts a piece of gauze on my arm and presses down *really* hard against an already sore spot. Tells me to hold it there and apply good pressure, so I do. She turns away to label the vials, so I look at the spot and it’s bleeding like a son of a bitch and bright bright red. In all the draws I’ve had, I’ve bled afterward one time, and that was the first one because they drew off so much at once. So yeah, I wasn’t a very happy camper about that. She taped the gauze down without ever checking it, sent me on my merry way. So I go out, get my coat and walk out the door while Rob is lagging behind with a confused look on his face.
After that, we headed off to find somewhere to get breakfast, then headed over to see Jen. I hadn’t seen her in probably a year, so it was nice to spend a couple hours with her. Wish we could have spent longer, but she had to get the boy down for a nap and we had stuff to do as well. So we headed off from there and went to get some lunch before heading back home. It’s always nice when I can go to A&W for lunch, it’s a rare treat since it’s not really convenient to go there most of the time.
After we get home, we relax for a little bit. Talk about the blood draw and some other stuff. Mom decides that she wants pizza for dinner, which is fine with me cuz it sounded good. So I call and order it, we send Rob to get it. Mom and I sit and talk for a bit and then he calls and tells us “The car won’t start.” Well he tells me, he won’t tell Mom. Chicken shit. He failed to tell me on the phone that the low coolant light had come on while he was going down. So a $40 tow job later, we find out that there is nothing wrong with the car other than driver ignorance. I’m still annoyed, but grateful that it wasn’t anything major.
So yeah, that was my Tuesday. The rest of the night was spent either laying on my bed watching television, sitting on the couch watching television, or sleeping. Seriously, I don’t like this whole falling asleep at 11pm and wake up at 7am business. Midnight/8am, fine, 1a/9a even better, but I’ve fallen asleep anywhere between 8 and 11pm the last 4 days and been up between 5 and 7am. It’s not normal for me. Oh well, it’ll right itself eventually.
Now, Idol Chatter and Dancing results.
It was a tough week for the female Idol’s, however LaKisha and Melinda worked it. Jordin, not so well.
The guys were alright, this week more suited them, but they weren’t great.
Top 2: Melinda and Blake
Bottom 2: Chris and Jordin
Will they be the two to go home? Who knows any more. They’re all good, so they’ll all end up making something of themselves after the show, so does it really matter at this point?
Dancing with the Stars.. that was not a shocking bottom 2, John and Billy Ray. They knew they were going to be bottom. However, I thought John was better than Billy Ray and would stay. Apparently, there are more Achey Breaky fans than Cheers fans. I was shocked to say the least. Billy Ray will go next, however, unless he *really* kicks some ass. I see the final 3 being Laila, Apolo and Joey. Ian is out soon. He has to be, he’s too stiff and serious. They’re all doing great, though. I’ve been surprisingly impressed with John and with Billy Ray, hell even Apolo stunned me. Joey and Ian were the two I expected to kick ass in the beginning.
So those are my thoughts. What do y’all think?
Rambles and Randomness.. With a bit of Idol and Dancing
