I am..
A giant ball of emotional wreckage. I’m not sure if it’s PMS getting to me, or what. I know that I’m stressed because of stuff going on. Namely not having water since uh.. Monday night. I don’t think it’s frozen, but if it’s not frozen, then something more serious could be wrong and we just don’t have the money for something more serious. We’ll see, I guess.
I am a giant ball of stress. It’s apparent from the fact that I have been eating everything in sight. NOT GOOD! I have to stop. I have to stop stressing out. Tomorrow should be better, though. At least I hope it’s better.
We did our grocery shopping today. Wasn’t too bad, since we got out of the house before 9am and hit up the stores before a lot of others did. We got back home around 12:30, which isn’t bad, considering. We put stuff away, got the heat light on the pipe outside, then I proceeded to make baked ziti.
Now, I went shopping with the intention to get ground sirloin today. However, I could NOT find any that I would carry home. I was not happy with the looks of it, so I purchased a couple of nice sirloin steaks that weren’t overly pricey instead. I cut it up, with an onion and 4 cloves of garlic and tossed it in my food processor. I ground my own meat and it was SO much better than what I could have brought home. I liked grinding in the garlic and onion with it.
I cooked off the ziti, browned the meat, mixed it in the sauce. Which, I kind of goofed on. I should have drained it first. I took the ziti, sauce and a container of fresh grated parmesan cheese and mixed it in a baking dish, covered it with pizza blend cheese and baked it until the cheese was nice and bubbly and melty. In case you don’t know, Pizza Blend Shredded Cheese is a combination of Low Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella, Cheddar and Monterey Jack Cheese, for a perfect blend of cheese on your homemade pizza. This is the first time I’ve made it, so I’m really glad I tried it. There will be leftovers had tomorrow night, since Rob works late.
I think I should try grinding other meats. Perhaps grind chicken breast tenders and make a chicken burger. I think that would be good. I think that it’ll be cheaper. It’s definitely better for you, since you know exactly what’s going into your ground meat.
I’m listening to LoveLine with Dr. Drew. What a train wreck show! I love Dr. Drew, but my god this show is a train wreck. I’m glad I don’t listen to radio much. I just don’t feel like starting a new audio book yet.
I’m so all over the map, so I should finish this post and then go to bed. Well, after I finish a pending post I started earlier.
