Look Ma, I’m Updating Again!

I’m really updating again this week. Scary isn’t it? ;) Yesterday was interesting. We went to the eye doctor for Rob. I go later this month. Whoopie! We then went grocery shopping. On the way to Binghamton, I looked at the traffic going towards Elmira and saw the Nascar Sprint Cup haulers and motor homes on their way to Watkins Glen for the weekend. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the equipment heading for the Glen, but it’s normally the show cars and display cars. We’ve never seen the actual tech garage stuff before. It was pretty cool.

Grocery shopping was uneventful, for the most part. We shopped for bulk items that will last at least 2 months. I picked up a pack of pork chops with my right hand and managed to twist my wrist wrong. I iced it last night for quite a while and it felt better this morning. Tonight, however, it was sore again, which sucked because I couldn’t take notes the way I wanted to. Speaking of tonight, it was this months’ installment of “Remembering Van Etten” and it was all about Railroading. It was really nice, especially since there were so many ‘new’ faces there. There were 23 people tonight, but there were a few missing faces from last time. It was fascinating, but what was better than the railroading was finding out that someone they talked about the first night was my great grandmother! I’ll have to get my notebook out of the car and write up what I have on her.

The best part of today? Calvin Harris was found guilty for the second time! It’s nice to see that justice is being served. Hopefully, this time, the ruling won’t be thrown out at the sentencing. He shouldn’t be allowed to walk free after 2 convictions. If 2 juries can find him guilty without a body, weapon or confession, then there’s enough to keep him sentenced. Period.

I’ve been watching Big Brother again this summer, as usual. One thing that cracked me up was that one of the house guests was making clothing out of trash bags, to protect them during a competition. She offered to make a tuxedo shirt for one of the guys. It cracked me up. Too bad they were told that they couldn’t wear the stuff that she made. It wouldn’t be ‘fair’ to others. Everyone was given the chance to share!

I should be posting more now, since it seems like life is settling into a really good place for me. I have some news to share, but I’m not ready to share yet.
