First thing first, I’m feeling a lot better than I have been. I’m still taking it easy though, so I don’t end up relapsing again. Stupid stomach bug. I think the vertigo is mostly gone too. Just in time for it to be 90+ degrees outside *die*
Secondly, I’ve been reading and commenting vaguely, so if you want my comment on something, let me know.
And now to the subject line.. I picked up the local paper today and read a tribute to one of the sweetest guys around. He owned the only genuine diner in the area for over 50 years. He passed away last month and it wasn’t in the paper that we get daily. I went and found the info on the city paper and it made me sad. An era is over, really, now that Beach’s is gone forever. Walt was 93 and had been in poor health for a while, so it wasn’t a big shock, but it was a big sadness. Guess he’s up above serving his watery spaghetti to all his patrons that passed before him.. including my father.
