Bid For Prizes

Jun-1-2007 By tyralyn

Imagine winning a brand new Alienware computer for mere pennies. You’d think I was nuts if I told you that it was possible, wouldn’t you? I thought it was a nuts idea myself when I first read about it, but I checked the link anyway.

Bid4Prizes is a unique auction site. The winner of each auction is the person with the lowest bid. If you are that person, you pay nothing, not even shipping, for the prize. What’s the catch? There really isn’t one, at least none that I can find.

Bid4Prizes is not an actual auction, there is no guarantee that you will win, but it’s always fun to give it a try.

Homeowners Insurance

Homeowners insurance. This is something that everyone should have. With that being said, living in a small town in Upstate New York, Homeowners insurance isn’t always easy to find, especially if you own a mobile home. Most insurance companies won’t touch a mobile home.

One of the first things that I notice is that in order to get a quote there is a requirment that you have over $75,000 in property value. This isn’t always the case, especially in a more rural, underdeveloped area. Living in a rural area that was mostly farm land at one point or another doesn’t give a property a lot of value like a home in a larger city does. Especially when quite a few places are mobile home lots.

Another thing that I’ve noted is that when applying for a quote, there are no specifications for a mobile home, simply “Other”, which could lead an agent to conclusions that it could be anything, including a modular.

Overall, finding quotes for Homeowners insurance is an easy way to find yourself the best insurance, if you have a traditional home. Finding insurance for a mobile home, however, is best left to the old fashioned way of calling an agent directly.
