Cheating to Lose - A Win/Win Diet

Sep-12-2007 By tyralyn

There are so many diet crazes these days it’s hard to know which ones are legit and which are crap. For instance, there is the new Cheat to Lose diet that claims to work with the body’s hormones and metabolism to kick start weight loss. Sounds good, right? Who wouldn’t want to be able to find a diet that lets you cheat and still lose weight.

On the Cheat to Lose diet, you incorporate your favorite foods into your diet, adding them to your weekly meal plans. You plan around special events that you’ll be taking part, making it okay to eat whatever you want and still lose weight.

Personally, I like the idea of being able to eat and lose weight, but does it work? Why not give it a look and see if it’s something you can try.

Content Babble

Sep-12-2007 By tyralyn

Associated Content is starting to piss me off. The two articles out of 5 have been declined, the other 3 are still pending. I don’t mind them being declined for sucking, but their reasons bug me. Especially since they want to publish them anyway. For instance, my Dancing With The Stars article was initially declined with the following reasons:
* This information is too common.
* While we believe this lends some insight on the subject, it is not in-depth enough to give the reader a complete overview.
* You can still earn limitless cash for this content, if you resubmit for Performance Bonus payment only. For every thousand page views it receives, you’ll be paid $1.50.

In essence, they want me to publish (which I did) without them having to shell out upfront payment, then pay me $1.50/1000 page views. Their theory is that you end up making more off the page views so they don’t have to pay upfront. I find that theory to be incorrect. I’ve found that the ones that have the most hits vary. So I’m wondering if it’s worth finding somewhere else to publish. I doubt it, since Triond is pennies based on advertising. Meh.

It’s just frustrating because they’ve drastically cut their up front payments and until this week, their page view bonus had to accumulate $15 or $25 before paying out. That’s just not worth it if you don’t really push your articles on every tom, dick and harry. At least I have found a niche that I do fairly well with getting upfront offers. So, it’s not all lost yet. :)

Anyway. Off to do some more writing I think.
